Symbiotic Design™ makes no attempt at collecting private or personal information from visitors to the SymbioticDesign.com web site. Some unique information is used to tailor the web pages served to enhance the specific visitor's viewing experience such as browser client and version, plug-in and javascript activation, display resolution and computer or device platform type. This information is saved as simple statistics to aid us in further design and development and to recognize new or emerging technologies. But Symbiotic Design™ is not and never will be interested in your personal or private information. SymbioticDesign.com makes no attempts to collect such details as email addresses, age, sex, marital status, credit card, driver's license or social security information. In fact, Symbiotic Design™ strongly recomends that you never give any of this information out online without reason and NEVER give out your social security or driver's license numbers online to anyone (whether they are running a secure server or not).

Symbiotic Design™ has been a family owned and operated business since 1997 and as such respects the privacy of personal and family information, security, and intimacy.

In the event that a visitor becomes a Symbiotic Design™ client, only business related information is collected, filed and secured offline during the course of our business dealings and this information is maintained in the office and never sees the independent internet web and ftp servers.

In the event that a visitor becomes a Symbiotic Design™ customer by purchasing one of our products (such as our interactive/video/web dp™ Art CDROM Volume 1), all online credit card transactions to SymbioticDesign.com are handled by PayPal, a secure, reliable, proven and trusted financial institution which is much more capable of handling monetary transactions and allows Symbiotic Design™ to get on with the business of creating and designing art, animation, graphics, illustrations, interactive applications, multimedia, video and websites. Symbiotic Design™ would obviously receive the customer's name, email and shipping addresses in order to ship the order. In this case, Symbiotic Design™ has established a business relationship and all related information is collected, filed and secured offline during the course of our business dealings and this information is maintained in the office and never sees the independent internet web and ftp servers.

While SymbioticDesign.com does provide several means of communication and interactivity on it's website which allow entering email addresses and/or web page addresses (such as our Guestbook, the WWWBoard, Feedback, Chat and LinkShare), we allow each user his or her discretion at revealing personal information where possible. As an example, no one has to leave an email address or webpage address when they sign our Guestbook unless they feel so inclined, while an email address is required when using the Feedback form so that we can reply to any concerns a vistor might have. Though we would therefore have an email address to respond to feedback if neccessary, we do not collect or insert said email address in a database for marketing purposes.

Also note that when electronicly sending one of our Symbiotic Design™ CyberCards (when available), the sender and recipient email addresses will expire from our server when the CyberCard expires. In order to access the card and email addresses the user requires a password, preventing email marketing clearing house robots from scanning this information.

And finally, there are no shareholders to reverse, alter or otherwise change this privacy policy from the intent of security to an intent of marketing at a later date (as others have done and hence lost our business forever).

Symbiotic Design™ understands your privacy concerns and that's why this page is written in plain english instead of legal mumbo jumbo. You have a right to privacy and Symbiotic Design™ will do everything to protect that right.
