The Symbiotic Design Group™

The Symbiotc Design Group™ is a Yahoo! Groups forum used as a communications resource for Team Symbiotic Design™. The Symbiotic Design™ Team is a talent pool of freelance web artists, designers and developers managed by Symbiotic Design™. Membership in this talent pool or in the Yahoo! Group does not guarantee a freelancer contracts, but does facilitate and expedite that opportunity, centralizes communications and enhances work flow management. Furthermore, membership in the Symbiotic Design Group™ does not require that a freelancer be available for contracts or accept contracts, nor does it constitute a requirement that a potential or existing client who is a member of the group to provide a contract.

The Symbiotic Design Group™ Name and History

Originally a business concept to explore art and design in 1996 by the Yahoo! Group Founder, Doug Peters, Symbiosys evolved into the Symbiotic Design Group™, a South Dakota small business entity in 1997 and has since grown to become Symbiotic Design™ - a new media design studio specializing in identity creation and possitive image proliferation for professionals, entrepreneuers, businesses and international corporations. The original Team Symbiosys™ concept of coordinated freelance design, development, marketing and promotion has endured and continues to grow under it's new designation as The Symbiotic Design Team, also known as Team Symbiotic Design™.

When the original business entity, Symbiotic Design Group™, evolved into Symbiotic Design™ we maintained the Symbiotic Design Group™ Trademark for later use. As Yahoo! Clubs evolved into Yahoo! Groups we waited until the InterNIC finally acknowledged our business name change to subplant confusion between our former business name and our Yahoo! Group, the Symbiotic Design Group™. Note however, that we retain and protect the Symbiotic Design Group™ Trademark.

Symbiotic Design™ maintains creative freedom in all it does. An artsy-craftsy flower logo may be what you might prefer, but if your consuming demographic target is 13-24 year-olds, you need an upbeat logo unless you are selling plants or flowers. This does not mean the flower logo is out, for we pay strict attention to our clientele's vision. In fact, we pride ourselves in maintaining strict interpretation of our clientele's specifications for any particular problem. However, we may not accept assignments to accomplish the visually drab with which any old design studio can accomplish. We reserve the right to bow out of any project until we have accepted a retainer for an approved working concept. We maintain creative freedom to protect our reputation, and therefore we will not sell garbage. If for any reason Symbiotic Design™ cannot help you meet your design problem or requirement, we will issue recommendations for competing design studios. This really only occurs when we don't consider a project challenging enough. Still, this does not occur too often. As I have mentioned, we are hungry.
